Sawing & Placement System of Hanmi Semiconductor was designated as the World-class Product 2005 on December 30, 2005 by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE). The World-class Product was part of the government’s efforts to cultivate the nation’s competitive products and manufacturers as future growth engines. To become the world-class Products, they must possess at least 10% of the international market. Sawing & Placement System of Hanmi Semiconductor was designated as one of the World-class Products in recognition of taking the first place in the global market with 35.2% of the market share. The Korean government has earmarked 5.9 billion Won to further promote these World-class products by enhancing overseas marketing activities, attracting more investment, and nurturing quality workforce.
