original article HANMI Semiconductor released 12-inch ‘micro SAW’ equipment. [edaily reporter Kang Kyung-rae] HANMI Semiconductor(042700) announced on the 20th that they released 12-inch micro SAW P1121, and has various equipment lineups by features of system semiconductor (non-memory) packages. micro SAW is an essential process equipment for cutting semiconductor packages, HANMI Semiconductor has launched the first 10-inch micro SAW model (micro SAW P2101) applied with Dual Chuck in June. Continually they expanded related equipment lineup by releasing a 20-inch micro SAW P1201 for jumbo PCB(printed circuit board) in October. Kwak Dong-shin, CEO & vice chairman of HANMI Semiconductor, said, "The 3rd 12-inch micro SAW equipment released this time can respond to detailed demands from customers that cannot be implemented with existing models depending on the characteristics and types of system semiconductor packages.” And stressed “HANMI Semiconductor is characterized by the fact that we consist of a lineup of products that allow users to choose various inches as a micro SAW specialized company.” HANMI Semiconductor has vertically integrated from Anti Vibration Iron Casting (casting platform) application and design to parts processing, software, assembly, and inspection based on its ability(capa) to have four factories on about 13,000 pyeong of land and produce up to 2,400 equipment annually. Vice chairman Kwak Dong-shin added, “The internalization of equipment production can reduce the delivery date by more than half compared to competitors, so we can immediately respond to the demand for various equipment from OSAT and global semiconductor customers, including Taiwan's TSMC." Also, HANMI Semiconductor won the Tower of Exporting $200 million at the ‘58th Trade Day Ceremony’ held earlier this month. Moreover, they have variety of semiconductor equipment lineups such as ‘MSVP’, the world's No. 1 equipment in market share, ‘EMI SHIELD’, ‘TC BONDER’, ‘FC BONDER and ‘STRIP GRINDER’. Through this, they deal with more than 320 companies around the world. Meanwhile, according to IDC, a market research firm, the global semiconductor market is expected to grow 5.3% annually to $600 billion (about 710 trillion won) in 2025. System semiconductors account for 90% of the total sales of HANMI Semiconductor.
