On the 20th, HANMI
Semiconductor presented
its annual sales target
of 308 billion (KRW)
along with its ambition
to make it the first year
of HANMI Semiconductor's
leap.
Dong Shin Kwak, vice
chairman of HANMI
Semiconductor, said, "It
is predicted that so-
called ‘semiconductor
supercycle’ will come
this year. Demands for
semiconductors such as
information processing,
security,
telecommunication, and
home appliances will
increase significantly
due to the spread of non-
face-to-face trends.
TSMC, the world's largest
semiconductor foundry
company, plans to invest
30 trillion (KRW) this
year, and UMC also
invested 1.1 trillion and
power chips 10.4
trillion. Global foundry
companies' investment in
facilities has surged."
"As a result, exports of
HANMI Semiconductor
equipment will be
stronger than ever due to
trickle-down effects on
the performance of global
OSAT companies that deal
with global foundry
companies such as ASE,
Amkor, SPIL, JCET Group,
PTI, TSHT, and TFME."
"HANMI Semiconductor has
Vision Placement and EMI
Shield equipment, which
are the world's top
products for
semiconductor production
such as 5G, self-driving
cars, smartphones, data
centers, and Bitcoin. In
addition, More than 77%
of sales are global OSAT
companies. This year, we
will record explosive
sales growth," he said,
suggesting a sales target
of 308 billion (KRW) for
this year.
Earlier, HANMI
Semiconductor announced
that it achieved
operating profit of 66.4
billion (KRW) with sales
of 255.7 billion last
year, which was the 40th
anniversary of its
establishment, and
recorded its highest
performance since its
establishment in 1980.
Its sales increased by
114.6 percent compared to
last year, and its
operating profit
increased by 361.1
