HANMI held a completion ceremony of its 3^rd factory in national industrial complex in Incheon on 22^nd. Executives and staff members of HANMI and Lee Ki-du, representative of Thiel Crescendo Investments LLC Korea which is backed by Peter Thiel attended the ceremony.

To satisfy global semiconductor clients, HANMI’s 3^rd factory was built with two stories that took up over 3,000 square meters. Now HANMI established 10,000 square meters of product line with existing 1^st and 2^nd factories.

HANMI’s vice chairman Kwak Dong-Shin said “Recently, China and Taiwan are growing rapidly in semiconductor market. Since Chinese and Taiwanese companies became clients for HANMI, we are trying to keep pace with the rapid changes in the market. Also to prepare the demands of the market, we tried to equip advanced CAPA.” HANMI’s 3^rd factory is only 50m away from Incheon J Valley subway station, which was opened in July, 2016. The fact it is near from the subway station makes it easy to access.

HANMI was selected as ‘The 10 best focused chip making equipment suppliers of 2016’ and ‘The best suppliers of 2016’ awards by VLSIresearch. HANMI, also, was selected as the only Korean semiconductor equipment company of these awards in the world.
